The U-Ranking project is a joint initiative of the BBVA Foundation and the Ivie that provides university authorities, experts in higher education, students and career counsellors with a series of Spanish universities rankings, which are constructed with transparency and rigour, following the recommendations of experts in the elaboration of indicators and international rankings and of specialized literature.
The U-Ranking database is a set of Synthetic Indicators of the Spanish University System (ISSUE) that offers the user two products. First, it provides a rankings set of 59 public and private Spanish universities classified them according to their volume of results (ISSUE-V) and productivity (ISSUE-P) while assessing the effect of university size. U-Ranking takes into account the three missions of the University —teaching, research, and innovation and technological development— and allows users to compare Spanish universities from different points of view (ISSUE indices).
In addition, the U-Ranking website offers an accurate and user-friendly tool which allows users to build their own personal ranking by expressing their preferences on what to study, where and what importance they grant to university activities. This tool produces a compare list of universities which also provides other information of interest such as cut-off marks, the price per credit on first registration or the environment.
See the U-Ranking website for a more detailed explanation of the sources and methodology used.
