The Ivie has carried out a new edition of Migration in the Valencian Region sponsored by the Bancaja Foundation. The extended database provides existing statistics as well a comprehensive view of the most relevant profiles of immigration in the Valencian Region and Spain as a whole, and the evolution over time of certain aspects.
The Analysis has been updated to December 2010 with the most current information available (more than 35 statistical sources). Among the new developments included in this year's edition are:

- Higher education of the foreign population in Valencian universities

- Reasons for living in Spain for at least three months.
- Emigration rates of highly qualified persons to OECD countries by main countries of origin.
