Education Accounts in Spain 2000-2013

The BBVA Foundation and the Ivie, within its cooperation framework program, have developed different studies on important topics such as educational training, employment and innovation. From this collaboration arises the new database ‘Cuentas de la Educación en España 2000-2013’ (Education Accounts in Spain 2000-2013) which addresses several key issues related to the educational system in Spain and its regions: what is its size and structure? How much is spent on education? Who are the producers of educational services and who are the beneficiaries?

Published documents

This database offers information for Spain and its regions, complementing the document presented in March 2016 Cuentas de la Educación en España 2000-2013: Recursos, gastos y resultados, presented in March 2016.

The appendix at the end of the document that accompanies this database includes formal education accounts (EA) and global education accounts. It offers EA for preschool, primary, secondary and vocational training, and university education, classified into public, private and total education. The global public education accounts include vocational training and additional services and general administration.
