Necessary changes for the Spanish economy
Are the implemented labor market reforms sufficient? This is one of the questions answered in this video by professor Javier Andrés of the University of Valencia, who also analyzes how the ECB single currency policy or the euro pact have influenced Spanish economy. "Spain has been one of the countries that most benefited from the euro pact, but it hasn't made the most of it," says Andrés. Professor Andrés also talks about the substantial changes that must be carried out in Spain so that it can compete in the globalized world. "Globalization can't be stopped, so we have to redirect our economy to find it's place", he says and is optimistic, "Things can be done," he says.
Javier Andrés participated in the BBVA Foundation-Ivie Seminar 2011 Structural reforms to restore growth.
