Human capital and employment in the productive sectors
Abstract
The services sector consists of workers with higher educational levels than those of the Spanish economy as a whole, while in the construction and agriculture sectors, human capital endowments are significantly lower. These are some of the results offered in this issue, which analyzes the human capital accumulation in four productive sectors: agriculture, industry, construction and services.Thus this issue reviews the structural change that has taken place in the Spanish economy between 1977 and 2011 and includes a section on the impact of the current crisis by sectors.The data in this issue comes from the Human Capital Series developed by Bancaja and the Ivie.
