Lessons of the crisis
8/09/10.- Resident Scholar of the American Enterprise Institute Vincent R. Reinhart describes the main lessons being applied from the Great Depression. According to Reinhart, a significant lesson learnt from the last few years is that the financial system is too complicated and examiners and regulators did not understand financial institutions from the outside.
He also discusses monetary policy for the future.
Reinhart participated in the BBVA Foundation-Ivie seminar Past and present: from the Great Depression of the 20th century to the Great Recession of the 21st century.
